What is the objective of NHISA
The National Health Insurance Policy has been under development since the publication of the NHI Green Paper in 2010.
There has thus far been a 2010 Green Paper, 2016 and 2017 White Papers, a 2018 Draft Bill and a 2019 Bill published on NHI.
There are limited public platforms in which South Africans can get access to the submissions made in the various stages of policy development, or to debate this proposed radical reform to the South African Healthcare System.
The NHI-SA website will keep you informed of the latest developments on NHI as well as to allow for Public Debate on the matter -
